Articles 20VN | Relationships – How to Assess The Kinds of …

It is true that the relationship we have with ourselves, with our environment, others, and our creator are largely responsible for how we turn out as a people in life. There are only two types of relationships, negative or positive, toxic or nurturing. I would like to highlight an area which a lot of people take for granted and leave to chance. When it comes to employing a new assistant you choose qualified people, before you buy a new piece of furniture you shop around and satisfy yourself that you are making the right decision, but in terms of friends, as long as we are cool with each other we will be buddies. In fact no decision is made consciously, you just find yourselves flowing. I share ten helpful nuggets on different levels of relationships from the life of the Lord Jesus

1. He had a very strong intimate relationship with God and he regularly related with him in prayer.

2. He understood that His relationship with God was not based on consensus but obedience.

3. Even though God was His father, he still understood that He had been sent on assignment by His boss when he declared that,” I must do the work of the one who sent me”.

4. He had a relationship with himself. After working very hard he would say to the disciples lets cross over to the other side of the lake, for reflection, recuperation and refreshment. Some of us are guilty of neglecting ourselves whilst we are busy serving others.

5. Jesus had a relationship with the world but it was a general relationship and the most basic level of relationship. He understood that He came to seek and save the lost, which was the purpose of that relationship.

6. He had a relationship with the curious multitude that followed him to see what he would do next. He challenged them by saying you are following me because I have just fed the five thousand with a little boy’s lunch? A secure leader will always challenge the motives of those he leads. He had a relationship with the crowd, these were a smaller group within the multitude and they seemed to follow more consistently and regularly that the multitude

7. Within the multitude there were the seventy to whom he could delegate some of his work as h sent them out two by two to preach, heal the sick and perform miracles

8 He had a relationship with the twelve disciples, his boys, and his protégé’s. With these he spent a lot of time and deposited wisdom, knowledge, explaining in detail what he is doing and what he wants to do with them. This is the inner circle

9. He would go and pray in the mountain with James, Peter and John.

10. Jesus never developed or nurtured any relationships that were a distraction or hindrance to His assignment. He did seek the company know the favor of the Pharisees, the hypocrites and the teachers of the law, who were in opposition to His mission

Handling relationships post divorce | NEW YORK Divorce Attorney …

After Divorce you need to end the previous chapter of your life and start a new one. After this you have to move on alone and this could alter your relationship with others. Some people might not need help in getting over their failed relationship. You should make sure you remain positive and close with all your friends and family members.

?

Handling your relationship with an ex-spouse is the hardest as seeing them in front of you can remind you of the whole matter. This is one of the first relationships one has to deal with after divorce. There might be children from your marriage and splitting up of the two parents disturbs the children?s mind.

?

Make sure you speak kindly of the other parent as the children love both the parents equally. Make an effort to dissolve the past negative feelings concerned with your ex-spouse and try to get along with him/her. Don?t leave a bad impression on the children about the other parent. This is the most complicated piece of your married life and you should think about the best interest of the children.

?

Post divorce, your relationship with some people might change. The family members of your ex spouse may not want to maintain any relationship with you. They are not your blood relatives so let them decide whether they want to keep the relationship with you or not. You can call them once in a while but be kind to them and don?t try to push yourself on them.

?

Even your relationship with friends might change. Keep in mind that they are entitled to their own opinions and they might choose sides amongst both of you. This should not ruin your friendship with them. Accept their opinions and always remember that if they truly are your friends they will find time to spend with you.

?

Keep in mind that in the end, post divorce, your relationship with people is going to change. You have to work with your family and friends to gain the best relationship for all the people connected to this matter. After divorce, you should discuss the best interests of your children with your ex-spouse and remember that breaking up with your spouse doesn?t mean that you have cut off all relationship with the friends and family involved. Don?t take their choices to heart as they have their own views of life. Don?t think anything less of yourself just because your relationship failed, there will be different people in your life and you should learn to develop these new relations in your life.

Relationship Help Communication ? Becoming Harder and Harder …

I?m sure this goes without saying but the factor that holds a relationship together is communication. Alot of couples need advice because relationships are hard. Its hard to start a relationship and its hard to keep one going.

When there?s a lack of communication or there?s a lot of arguing going on between you and your partner you need to understand that this is helping to sink your relationship. You both need to be open with each other, and trust your partner.

Lack of communication and arguing, especially in public, are all signs that a break up is on its way. You need to remember that communication is the foundation of a relationship. He made you laugh or she made you laugh, and you started dating each other.

]]>

The only way that you both are dating is because you both talked to each other. Lack of communication is only a symptom of a bigger problem in the relationship. If you both can open up and communicate, the closer you two get.

You build a strong relationship called friendship. Relationships and dating is the ground work for creating the greatest friendship you?ll have with a person. That friendship is called marriage. When you talk to each other, you?re putting faith and trust in your partner.

This makes them feel trustworthy and makes them want to help you with whatever you?re going through. When arguing, we don?t tend to think before we speak. You have to do this because you?ll definitely say something you wish you could take back. I?ve been there.

Instead of constantly arguing, you both you need to sit down and actually identify the problems you both feel are in your relationship. When you don?t talk to your partner, you build resentment toward them because you begin to feel like they don?t care to know you at all anymore. This makes your partner feel the same way towards you.

Neither women or men are terrible communicators. It just takes initiative from both partners to be open and talk about their feelings. This is how relationships and marriages work and last. Ask any old couple why they?ve been together for so long and 9 times out of 10 they?ll say they can talk to each other about anything.
